Ultrasound-guided localization of peripheral nerves and the associated real-time visualization provide crucial benefits in regional anesthesia.1 However, this does not eliminate the incidence of permanent nerve damage.2 Even in combination with nerve stimulation, intrafascicular injections cannot be ruled out.1,3,4 The causes include incorrect positioning of the needle along with exceeding critical injection pressures. With Pajunk’s NerveGuard, the injection pressure is automatically limited to avoid nerve damage.
Learn more about NerveGuard and the neurological complications during peripheral nerve blocks.
Automatically blocks injections when injection pressure exceeds the limit value of a maximum 15psi
Prevents intrafascicular injections in cases of excessive pressure
Decreases the risk of nerve damage and increases patient safety
